Israel 2017

Dear Pilgrim,

More information is collecting for our trip to Israel. I am attaching the Itinerary and the Registration Conditions and Form. We will also post this info online. I'm happy that GraceLife can host this tour. A trip like this is always more fun with friends.

It's tempting to think that March 25, 2017 is a long time from now, but let me tell you from experience, it is not! I typically plan all my international trips about a year ahead. It is often necessary because of passport and cost requirements.

If you are sitting on the fence about going, let me encourage you to jump! I recently read a funny quote: "Make a decision. The road of life is paved with dead squirrels that could not make a decision." Again, from my experience, we do not begin to see God really work until we make a commitment. Then all the pieces fall into place. You will never regret going to Israel. And remember, prophetically, that that door of opportunity can close.

Though not a Jew, I find myself longing to visit Israel. I can in part feel the longing of Jewish people to "come home." Enjoy this beautiful song by this Jewish group about going home to Israel.

Other churches and pastors have asked me if they and folks from their churches could join us. I'm thinking spots may fill up quickly. We can handle a maximum of 40, but a smaller group is much better. I need to hear from you soon.

I'm praying for your decision and for a great trip!

Blessings,

Charlie Bing

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this tour different from other tours?

Jerusalem Cornerstone Foundation study tours provide a more in-depth experience than most tours. Hence the "study tours" emphasis. This is not a "bus window" experience offered my many tours where agents may also be paid a commission by taking the group to certain gift shops. Also, JCF only uses guides who believe in Yeshua as Messiah. Other tours usually use any guide available, usually an unbeliever. Though we want everyone to have a good time, it should not be considered a casual vacation. There is a lot to see and we will keep a rigorous pace.

How much will the trip cost?

We won't know until the beginning of May, but a safe estimate would be something between $3500-$3700 from JFK. Add the airfare from your departure city to JFK.

When is the deposit due?

We will need a non-refundable deposit of $1000 about mid-June.

What hotels will we be using?

The hotels we will stay in are very nice. The first date is check-in and the second is check-out:
  • 3/26/17 - 3/27/17 Ramada, Netanya - 1 night on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea
  • 3/27 - 3/30 En Gev Holiday Village - 3 nights on the shore of the Sea of Galilee
  • 3/30 - 3/31 Daniel Hotel, En Bokek - 1 night on the shore of the Dead Sea
  • 3/31 - 4/5 Leonardo Plaza, Jerusalem - 5 nights in the heart of the modern city, a 10-minute walk to the Old City at Jaffa Gate
You can review these hotels at these Internet links:

What about the violence we see on the news?

Remember, the news reports only bad news, not good. The violence we hear about is not directed at tourists, tour groups, or tourist sites. Targets are usually police, border guards, and religious Jews living in the West Bank settlements. Our tour guide will not take us to these areas or any area that could be dangerous. By comparison, it is still overwhelmingly safer to tour Israel than to casually drive through Memphis, Tennessee or to walk down any sidewalk of Springfield, Illinois where in 2010 they averaged over 855 violent crimes per 100,000 people http://www.forbes.com/pictures/efel45mde/springfield-ill/. Israel is a country with one of the lowest murder rates in the world http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Israels-murder-rate-among-lowest-in-the-world
